Segovia was declared a UNESCO World Heritage City in 1985 thanks to its immense cultural and artistic heritage. In its winding streets, you can bear witness to the legends and traditions of the cultures that lived together in the Spanish territory during the Middle Ages: Jews, Catholics and Muslims. You can also see Roman ruins, such as the city's symbolic aqueduct.

What will we do?
In the morning we’ll pick you up at your hotel and take you to the center of Segovia where we’ll begin our walking tour of the city. Some must-see’s are: the Roman Aqueduct, the Cathedral and the Fortress- but the city will reveal much more. With an impressive Roman past, the city declined in the Visigoth era and was abandoned after the Islamic invasion. After the reconquest of the city from the Arabs in the Middle Ages, it regained all its splendor. As the cradle of three very different cultures, Segovia has an important Hebrew Aljama and a Jewish quarter, as well as important monasteries and convents. It was also the court of the Royal House of Trastámara and on December 13, 1474 its inhabitants proclaimed Isabella I Queen of Castile. Once our tour of the city is finished, we’ll try the famous Segovian cochinillo (roasted suckling pig) in one of the city’s traditional restaurants. You can see more options here.
