What will we do?
In the morning, we’ll pick you up at your hotel and take you to Ávila. The 11th century wall that surrounds it is the best preserved monument and symbol of the city. We’ll take a stroll, taking in its amazing variety of Romanesque and Gothic churches. Our tour will take us to the Basilica of San Vicente, a Gothic masterpiece and home to some of the most precious example of Romanesque sculptures in Spain. We’ll visit one of the most important Christian pilgrimage sites: the Convent and Museum of Saint Teresa (1515-1582). We’ll have lunch and you’ll feel like you’ve traveled back in time to the medieval era, sampling traditional dishes of the rich Ávila cuisine.
