TOLEDO: THE CITY OF THREE CULTURES, THE MIDDLE AGE METROPOLIS

What will we do?

In the morning, we’ll pick you up at your hotel and take you to the center of Toledo where we’ll begin our walking tour of the city. We’ll visit the grand Toledo Cathedral, where you’ll be in awe by the interior architecture of this Gothic masterpiece. The Church of Santo Tomé is another essential visit on your trip to Toledo where you’ll enjoy the spectacular beauty of the famous painting El Entierro del Conde de Orgaz (The Burial of Count Orgaz) by the famous Spanish painter, El Greco. Strolling through the narrow streets of the Jewish Quarter of Toledo, we’ll  arrive at the Tránsito Synagogue dating from 1366. Inside the synagogue, you’ll visit an intriguing Sephardic museum. To end your visit of the city of three cultures, we’ll visit the Cristo de la Luz Mosque, built in 999. It is the best preserved of the ten mosques that the city had. Once our city tour is over, we’ll have lunch at one of the most traditional restaurants in the city. You can see more options here.
